YOBOS (Youth of Banbury Operatic Society) was created in 2003 and is an exciting music theatre project for young people living in the Banbury area. We can give you a taste of what it takes to star in a musical – on stage and behind the scenes.

Our parent group, Banbury Operatic Society, is known for its high standard of musical theatre and YOBOS have met this same high standard with their previous productions of Bugsy Malone, Honk!, Anything Goes, Barnum, Fame - The Musical, Hot Mikado, Crazy for You and The Little Shop of Horrors over the past eight years.

Our 2011 production was Hairspray.  This show was an outstanding success, and followed an eight day intensive course in August 2010.

Not content to rest on our laurels, we are already busy planning our 2012 show - RENT - which will celebrate 10 years of YOBOS!
