Sweet Charity was the first of our 50th anniversary year shows in February 2011.  It is a tender, poignant and consistently funny look at the adventures, or rather the misadventures, of Charity Hope Valentine, a girl who wears her heart on her sleeve and always falls in love with the wrong man.

Originally directed and choreographed by Bob Fosse, Sweet Charity premiered on Broadway in 1966, where it ran for over 600 performances. The production won the Tony Award for Best Choreography in the same year and features favourite hits such as Hey, Big Spender, If My Friends Could See Me Now and The Rhythm of Life.

This show was directed by Sally-Anne Watts, choreographed by Charlotte Boardman and the musical director is Philip Fine.  This is the trio who gave BOS the wonderful Rodgers & Hammerstein tribute show, Something Wonderful.
