Kings & Queens – A Global Journey Through Musical Theatre Royalty

Banbury Operatic Society requests the pleasure of your company as we travel to the four corners of the globe for our October 2024 production: Kings & Queens
​
On October 25th and 26th, a vast number of kings and queens of musical theatre – in various guises - will grace the stage of Wykham Theatre in Wykham Park Academy as we bring their stories to the good people of Banbury. Some of our monarchs are historic, some are modern, some are fictional, and some are……..well, you’ll just have to come along and find out for yourself!

Featuring iconic songs from classic shows such as The King and I, Jesus Christ Superstar, and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat through to modern-day gems including The Prom, Six the Musical and Hamilton, this concert is a veritable feast of regal fabulousness as we travel through Australia, Thailand, Russia and Egypt to name just a few countries on our itinerary.

And then, in the style of all good royals, we’ll be going on a very real overseas visit to perform the show for our wonderful friends in Banbury’s twin town of Hennef, Germany, on November 2nd!

Tickets for the Banbury concerts will be on sale from September 1st so put the dates in your diary, have your passports at the ready, and we very much look forward to extending a very royal welcome to you at Kings & Queens!​​
