Banbury Operatic Society were  thrilled to be one of the first groups in the country to perform the musical hit Priscilla Queen of the Desert!

One of the most popular touring shows in UK history has JUST been made available to amateur groups. With hit songs that EVERYONE knows, including I Will Survive, It's Raining Men, Don't Leave Me This Way and Boogie Wonderland, this hilarious and colourful show follows two drag queens and a transgender woman, who contract to perform a drag show at a resort in Alice Springs, a resort town in the remote Australian desert. As they head west from Sydney aboard their lavender bus, Priscilla, the three friends come to the forefront of a comedy of errors, encountering a number of strange characters, as well as incidents of homophobia, whilst widening comfort zones and finding new horizons.

The show was a huge hit, selling out almost every night! It was without a doubt, one of BOS' most ambitious productions to date.
