This is a fabulous musical was bought to Banbury in October 2023 and wowed almost 5 sell out audiences with its amazing musical numbers, fasntastic performances and an important message of truth and acceptance (of others and yourself). Based on the Miramax motion picture Kinky Boots, written by Geoff Deane and Tim Firth, the musical has a book by Harvey Fierstein with music and lyrics by Cyndi Lauper. It is based on a true story, and tells of the journey of Charlie Price who seeks to save his family’s Northamptonshire-based shoe business from closure – with the help of an unlikely partner: the fabulous drag performer Lola!
 

This award-winning musical shines a light on what is most important to our community, whilst at the same time challenging us to be more inclusive and accepting of others.
